Rex Roberson is currently an IT Operations Supervisor in the Information Security department at San Diego Gas & Electric and has over 15 years of experience in IT Operations Management, IT Service Delivery, IT Asset Management, IT Vendor Management and Information Security. He has been with San Diego Gas & Electric since October, 2003 and has held positions with increasing responsibility. He also spent five years supporting and ultimately managing the San Diego Gas & Electric Support Services contract for Computer Sciences Corporation prior to his employment with San Diego Gas & Electric.
Throughout his career, Rex has gained a reputation for demonstrating solid leadership and a passion for driving efficiency and change while providing excellent customer service. He has been successful in leading operational, technical and project teams through multiple programs and projects. He has the ability to remain calm under stressful situations and make command decisions when needed. Rex is resourceful and delivers on his commitments.
Rex has proven to be a valuable member of the teams that he has worked on. He has a broad business and technical background to work with and has a history of building an extensive network of contacts that allow for the successful completion of assignments, projects and tasks. Rex strives to build strong relationships with others and solicit feedback from individuals at all levels for continuous improvement.

Rex has an Associate of Sciences Degree in General Studies from Riverside Community College and holds both Microsoft Certified Professional and ITILv3 certifications. Rex recently completed the SANS – Security Leadership for Managers course and is studying for the CompTIA Network+, Security+ and CISSP exams.
Rex has a passion for leadership and he has completed all of the leadership programs that Sempra has offered to its management teams. These programs included the Sempra New Leader Training Camp, the Sempra Managers Toolkit program and the Sempra High Performing Leader Program.
Rex is an avid mountain bike rider and loves spending time participating in outdoor activities with his family. He is actively involved in the bicycle community in the Temecula/Murrieta area and in 2014 started a non-profit mountain bike advocacy group that currently has over 230 paying members.
