- TREAT: All guns are always loaded.
- NEVER: Point the muzzle at anything you aren't willing to destroy.
- KEEP: Your finger off the trigger until sights are on target.
- BE SURE: Of your target and what is beyond it.
Handguns: Overview
- Semi-Automatics: Use a magazine and slide.
- Revolvers: Use a rotating cylinder.
- Primary Use: Concealed carry and personal protection.
Handguns: Loading & Unloading
Step-by-Step (Pistol)
- Insert Magazine firmly until it clicks.
- Pull the slide fully to the rear and release.
- To Unload: Drop magazine FIRST, then rack slide.
- Lock slide back and physically/visually inspect the chamber.
AR-15 Style Rifles
- The Modern Sporting Rifle.
- Lightweight, low recoil, and highly modular.
- Components: Upper/Lower receivers, Bolt Carrier, Safety Selector.
